Daily math puzzle
37 - The Math Puzzle is a free daily math puzzle for iOS, Android and web browsers. Every player worldwide gets the same roll of seven dice each day and has to build one equation that equals exactly 37. Solve times post to a daily podium, streaks reward returning, and Easy, Challenge and Blitz modes sit alongside the daily puzzle.
Why the daily format works
A daily puzzle has a hard stop. One puzzle, a few minutes, then you are finished until tomorrow. That is the opposite of an infinite feed, and it is most of the reason the format spread from Wordle into dozens of categories.
Two other things make it stick. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day, so there is something to compare with friends and colleagues. And a streak gives you a reason to come back that has nothing to do with the puzzle itself.
How the Daily Challenge works in 37 - The Math Puzzle
Every player in the world is dealt the same roll of seven dice: four white and three coloured Power Dice. You must use all seven exactly once, combining them with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, exponents and parentheses, so the expression equals exactly 37.
- The green die must appear in an addition or a subtraction.
- The blue die must appear in a multiplication or a division.
- The red die must be used as an exponent, either the base or the power.
Using at least two of the three correctly is a Valid Solve. Using all three is a Perfect Solve, which earns a Puzzle Piece. Your time posts to the daily podium, and a Global Leaderboard on the Stats page tracks how you compare over the longer run.
It is more than the daily puzzle
There are three Daily Challenges each day, one per mode, and every mode also has an untimed Practice version with unlimited rolls. Blitz Colosseum holds Solo Blitz speed rounds running from one to ten minutes and 1-v-1 Blitz Battles. You can add friends, challenge them head to head, and watch each other on the leaderboards. Streaks, badges, Puzzle Pieces and personal stats run underneath all of it.
Building the habit
Most players attach it to something they already do: coffee, the commute, the gap before a meeting. A Daily Challenge usually takes a few minutes, and podium winners are often under a minute. It needs no sound and works in one hand.
Common questions
What is a good daily brain teaser?
A good daily brain teaser is short, has a fixed end point and is the same for everyone, so there is something to compare. Wordle set that pattern for words, Nerdle and Mathler for hidden equations, and 37 - The Math Puzzle for arithmetic you build yourself.
Does 37 have a daily streak?
Yes. Playing the Daily Challenge each day keeps your streak alive in 37 - The Math Puzzle, the same way a Wordle streak works.
How long does the Daily Challenge take?
Most players finish in a few minutes, and the daily podium regularly shows winning times under a minute. It is designed to be a short daily ritual, not a long session.
Why do people play daily puzzle games?
The daily format works because it has a hard stop. One puzzle, a few minutes, then you are finished until tomorrow, which is the opposite of an endless feed. Because everyone gets the same puzzle there is something to compare, and the streak gives you a reason to return.
